My Specialities

For 30+ years I’ve worked across settings ranging from community mental health centers to private practice and I’ve trained future therapists. My work is grounded in a wide range of professional experiences that inform my perspective as a therapist.

With a foundation in neuroscience and decades of clinical experience, I help clients understand why patterns keep repeating and how to interrupt them. Sessions are both reflective and skill-based, so progress isn’t just insight but real change you also see at home..

I specialize in helping people navigate anxiety and fear, with particular expertise in social anxiety, attachment patterns, and the postpartum experience. I support clients in breaking out of cycles that keep them stuck, whether that means constant self-doubt, repeated relationship struggles, or the emotional shifts that come with motherhood.

Outside of my practice, I am a masters swimmer, cyclist and a hiker who has climbed Kilimanjaro, trekked in the Himalayas, Andes and, closer to home, the Sierra Nevadas. I’m a lifelong dog lover who has raised two furry children and a passionate music fan who enjoys playing piano and finding inspiration in live music.  These experiences act as a consistent touchstone that helps me reconnect with the persistence, balance, and joy I strive to embody in my work.
